Art in the Park: Nature Journaling and Soundscape
Kershaw-Ryan State Park will offer a drop-in nature-journaling and soundscape activity on September 19.
Kershaw-Ryan State Park will host Art in the Park: Nature Journaling and Soundscape on Saturday, September 19, from 10 a.m. to about 1 p.m. Pacific.
Participants can experiment with nature journaling and create a soundscape using what they see and hear around the park. The park says a journal will be provided, though visitors may bring their own. The activity includes mild walking.
Meet at the upper day-use pavilion. The organizer describes 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. as a loose, drop-in window rather than a fixed three-hour session. Anyone younger than 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
The activity is free, but the event notice says the park entrance fee applies and lists $5 per vehicle. Because Nevada State Parks' general fee page can distinguish resident and nonresident fees, visitors should confirm the current entrance charge before traveling.
The program is weather-dependent and may be canceled. RSVP by calling 775-726-3564 and leaving a message while supplies last. For a reasonable accommodation, contact the park at least 10 days before the event.
