Birding 101 at Pahranagat National Wildlife Refuge
A free ranger-led beginner bird walk will meet at Upper Pahranagat Lake on October 10, with loaner binoculars available first-come.
Pahranagat and Moapa Valley National Wildlife Refuges will offer a free Birding 101 program at Pahranagat National Wildlife Refuge on Saturday, October 10.
When: 10 to 11:30 a.m. Pacific.
Meet: Picnic pavilion at the Upper Pahranagat Lake day-use area, Highway 93 north of Alamo.
The ranger-led walk is intended for people who are new to birdwatching. Participants will learn tools for identifying birds by sight and sound. Bring binoculars and a field guide if available; loaner binoculars will be offered first-come, first-served.
