Birding 101 at Pahranagat Refuge — November 21
A second free beginner bird walk is scheduled for November 21, 10–11:30 a.m., at Upper Pahranagat Lake.
A free ranger-led Birding 101 walk is scheduled for Saturday, November 21, 2026, from 10 to 11:30 a.m. Pacific at Pahranagat National Wildlife Refuge.
Meet at the picnic pavilion in the Upper Pahranagat Lake day-use area. The walk covers about one mile and introduces bird identification by sight and sound. Bring binoculars and a field guide if available; loaner binoculars are offered first-come.
Use the Upper Pahranagat Lake entrance on U.S. Highway 93, about three miles south of Alamo—not the visitor-center meeting point. The agency lists the program for ages seven and older.
