Caliente council to consider fall events and bike-path funding October 1
The October 1 agenda includes fall-event requests, business-license applications and a proposed Kershaw-Ryan bike-path grant match.
Caliente City Council is scheduled to meet Thursday, October 1, 2026, at 6 p.m. Pacific in the Council Chambers at 100 Depot Avenue. The city posted the signed agenda on September 25.
Fall-event requests
The council will consider Lincoln County High School’s request for a homecoming bonfire at Caliente Industrial Park on Thursday, October 8, at 8 p.m. It will also consider the Lincoln Community Coalition’s request for a November 7 Gingerbread Fun Run in conjunction with Holidays to Remember.

Bike-path funding and business licenses
Another item asks the council to consider a $20,979.75 grant match with Lincoln County for an NDOT bike path to Kershaw-Ryan. An agenda item is not proof that funding has been approved or construction has begun.
