Current BLM fire restrictions apply to Lincoln County public lands
BLM's seasonal Nevada fire restrictions include Lincoln County's Caliente Field Office public lands and are currently scheduled through October 31 unless rescinded.
Seasonal Bureau of Land Management fire restrictions are in effect on BLM-administered public lands in Nevada, including land managed by the Caliente Field Office in Lincoln County.
The statewide fire-prevention order runs May 1 through October 31 unless it is rescinded earlier. Additional hot-season restrictions that began July 1 prohibit campfires, charcoal, coal and wood stoves outside developed fee campgrounds or picnic areas. Portable stoves using gas, jellied petroleum or pressurized liquid fuel are allowed under the order.
The restrictions also limit smoking to enclosed vehicles or buildings, developed recreation sites or areas cleared at least three feet in diameter. Welding, grinding and open-flame torches require authorization. Motorized equipment should not be parked or operated on dried or cured vegetation. Fireworks, pyrotechnics, incendiary devices, explosives, binary targets, tracer or incendiary ammunition and ammunition with steel components are prohibited. Engines must have required spark arresters.
