Energy-bill assistance for Lincoln County households: how to apply
Nevada accepts energy-assistance applications while funding lasts. Here are the official application route and local referral contact.
Nevada's Energy Assistance Program helps qualifying households with home heating and cooling costs. Applications are evaluated throughout the July–June program year, or until available funding is exhausted. An approved household generally receives one annual benefit paid directly to its energy provider.
Start with the current application
Use the Division of Social Services application page and current FY2027 eligibility criteria. Eligibility depends on household income, Nevada residence, responsibility for energy costs and other program requirements; an application is not a guarantee of approval.
The state's checklist requests recent household-income evidence, identification and recent heating or cooling bills, with additional documentation in some circumstances. Follow the agency's current instructions for submitting personal documents—do not send them to Lincoln County Social.
Local help
Lincoln County Power District's referral page points residents to the state program and Lincoln County Human Services at 775-962-8084. The district also encourages customers having trouble paying to contact their utility. Filing for assistance does not itself establish a payment extension or stop a disconnection; discuss your account directly with the provider.
