Lincoln County Human Services lists emergency food help and monthly distributions

Lincoln County Human Services lists several food-assistance options for residents, including emergency help and recurring community distributions.

The county says emergency food assistance is available by contacting the Human Services office at 775-962-8084. Its Social Services page also lists a free mobile food pantry once a month at the west parking lot of the Caliente Railroad Depot. The exact mobile-pantry date is announced on signs in the community.

The county also lists commodity-food distribution on the third Thursday and Friday of each month at the Alamo Senior Center, Panaca Town Center lobby, Pioche Senior Center and Caliente Railroad Depot. Residents should confirm the current day, time, location and availability with Human Services before traveling.
