Lincoln County Sheriff's Office accepts applications for dispatch, patrol and corrections roles
The Lincoln County Sheriff's Office says it is currently accepting applications for dispatch personnel and for patrol and corrections deputies.
Dispatch applicants can obtain an application at the Sheriff's Office or download one from the official employment page. The office says dispatch testing may include a written exam, typing test and oral board, followed by a background investigation.
Patrol and corrections applicants can use the linked peace-officer employment application. The office says those testing procedures may include written, physical and oral-board testing, a polygraph, a psychological examination and a background investigation. Qualified applicants with current POST certifications may be considered for lateral transfer.
Completed applications can be submitted in person at 225 Justice Way in Pioche or mailed to P.O. Box 570, Pioche, NV 89043. The Sheriff's Office forms page says completed applications are kept on file for one year. Applicants who applied within the past 12 months and remain interested are asked to call the office to confirm their interest instead of submitting another application.
The official page does not list a closing date. Prospective applicants should review the current forms and role information and confirm availability with the Sheriff's Office at 775-962-5151 before applying. Submitting an application does not guarantee an interview, appointment or employment.
