Mail-ballot opt-out requests are due September 4 for Nevada's general election

Lincoln County voters who do not want to receive a mail ballot for Nevada's November 3 general election must submit a mail-ballot preference form by Friday, September 4.
The September 4 date is an opt-out deadline, not the deadline to register to vote. Under Nevada law, active registered voters generally receive a mail ballot unless they opt out. Voters should also verify that their registration and mailing address are current.
The official 2026 election calendar lists October 6 as the standard deadline to register by mail or in person, October 7 through 20 as the extended online-registration period, October 17 through 30 for early voting, and November 3 as Election Day. Different identification and in-person voting rules can apply to late registration or updates, so voters should use Nevada's official voter portal or contact the Lincoln County Clerk for guidance about their own record.
