Mormon Mountains volunteer planting — November 14
NDOW invites volunteers to a free habitat-restoration workday, 9 a.m.–1 p.m., with advance signup through its volunteer portal.
The Nevada Department of Wildlife lists a volunteer restoration shift on November 14, 2026, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Pacific in the Mormon Mountains of Lincoln County.
Volunteers will plant native perennials, install a small fence and water plants in a fire-affected area. Tools and materials are supplied; bring sturdy footwear, sun protection, food and drinking water. Extra work gloves will be available.
The organizer gives the meeting coordinates as 36.9710031497, -114.329059831. A high-clearance vehicle is recommended, though not required. Follow NDOW’s directions and signs from Carp/Elgin Road; do not rely on a social-media map pin alone.
Choose the November 14 shift on NDOW’s signup page. The activity is listed as free; availability can change. Questions: Michelle Lopez, 702-668-3552 or michelle.lopez@ndow.org.
