Join the Park Ranger and local artists for a three-day Nature Journal Workshop at Kershaw-Ryan State Park, October 8-10, 2026. The workshop covers observation, biology and nature-journaling art techniques, with ranger-led hikes and time to apply the lessons in the park.
When: The official listing gives an overall 9:00 a.m.-8:00 p.m. window across October 8-10. This is not a continuous attendance period; the day-by-day schedule may change, so contact the park for the final schedule.
Where: Day Use Area Pavilion #1, 300 Kershaw Canyon Road, Caliente, Nevada 89008.
The workshop is free, but park entry applies at $5 per day. Camping is optional and subject to camping fees. Registration is required by phone or email. Minors under 18 must be accompanied by an adult, and attendees should bring water, cold-weather clothing, a camp chair and any preferred art supplies. Meals are on your own.
