Cathedral Gorge State Park plans Night and Day, a family-friendly program about the approaching winter solstice, on Saturday, December 19, 2026, from 2 to 3 p.m. Pacific.

Meet inside the Eastern Region Visitor Center auditorium for stories and an easy craft project. An outdoor activity may be included if weather permits.

No advance registration or program payment is required. Visitor-center admission is free; anyone continuing into the park pays vehicle entry of $5 for Nevada residents or $10 for nonresidents.

Minors must attend with an adult. Pets are not allowed. Wear warm layers and check the official listing before traveling because weather can change the program. Contact Kim Zuch at cgsp@parks.nv.gov or 775-728-8101.

The craft-table illustration is generic; it does not show this venue, the planned project or refreshments being offered.
