RNDC down-payment assistance includes Lincoln County homebuyers
The rural housing program offers conditional deferred loans—not unconditional grants—with separate HOME and HMNI limits.
Rural Nevada Development Corporation lists Lincoln County among the areas eligible for its down-payment assistance program for qualifying low-income, first-time homebuyers.
RNDC describes two deferred-loan options: up to $30,000 through HOME funds or $25,000 through Home Means Nevada Initiative funds. Actual eligibility depends on income, purchase price and other requirements, including mortgage preapproval and an eligible home.
Understand the repayment conditions
The assistance is secured by loan documents and a deed of trust. RNDC says it is interest-free and may be forgiven after a program-dependent three-to-ten-year period if primary-residence requirements are met. Sale or transfer during the affordability period can trigger repayment. It is not unconditional free cash.
Ask RNDC which funding source is currently available, its exact affordability period, insurance requirements, purchase-price limits and repayment terms before making a purchase commitment. A program listing does not guarantee funding or individual approval.
The official page provides application materials and staff contacts; RNDC's general number is 866-404-5204. This is general program information, not individualized mortgage or legal advice.
