USDA reports about $2 million in Nevada farm safety-net payments
The October 23 announcement concerns statewide payments for the 2025 crop year—not a $2 million allocation specifically to Lincoln County.
USDA’s Farm Service Agency says approximately $2 million in agricultural safety-net payments are going to Nevada producers for the 2025 crop year through Agriculture Risk Coverage and Price Loss Coverage.
The agency’s October 23, 2026, announcement reports a statewide total. It does not identify a Lincoln County allocation or establish that every local producer will receive a payment.
FSA says Nevada PLC payments were triggered for barley, corn, grain sorghum, oats and wheat. Eligibility and individual payments depend on program requirements and the producer’s circumstances.
The release also lists the 2026 election and enrollment period as September 16–December 11, 2026. The 2027 enrollment period is scheduled for November 2, 2026–March 15, 2027. Producers should confirm their own deadlines and options with FSA rather than treat this announcement as an application approval.
