Worker Advantage homebuyer assistance: what Lincoln County residents should know
Nevada’s essential-worker program offers $20,000 through a repayable second mortgage, not a grant. Eligibility and funding must be confirmed with a participating lender.
Nevada Housing Division’s Worker Advantage program advertises $20,000 in homebuyer assistance for qualifying essential workers. It is a zero-interest, no-payment, non-forgivable second mortgage with a 30-year term—not a grant or automatically forgiven assistance.
The program covers specified occupations in health care, education, public safety and construction. At least one borrower must have a qualifying job. Requirements include six months of Nevada residency, homebuyer education for each borrower, use of the home as a primary residence and applicable underwriting approval.
The official page checked October 3, 2026, lists a Lincoln County household-income limit of $148,350 and a maximum home price of $832,750. Minimum credit scores are 640, or 660 for manufactured homes. A first-time purchase is not required, but previous Home Is Possible users are excluded.
Contact a participating lender to confirm occupational eligibility, repayment terms, current limits and whether funds can be reserved. This summary does not establish funding availability or your qualification and is general information, not individualized financial advice.
